Fun Comments: I grew up in St. Augusta MN;
where I still reside. From the time I could walk I
was enjoying the outdoors with the guidance
from my grandfather and father. I was five
years old when I first stepped on the ice to go
sight fishing for bluegills through the spearing
hole in my grandfather's spear house. That
first trip was the start to a burning passion for
ice fishing and the outdoors that is still alive
today. The 2013/2014 ice season was the first
year I started tournament fishing. I fished both
the UPL series and the Team Extreme series.
My notable finishes were 2nd place Lower
Prior Lake (UPL), 6th place Clearwater Lake
(UPL), and 10th place overall for the year
(UPL). I was also able to qualify for the Team
Extreme National Championship on Lake
Minnewaska with Shawn Lankki in which we
took 2nd place. This season I logged over 200
hours on the ice and was still ice fishing well
into April. During the summer I spend my time
fishing Clearwater Lake and almost every
weekend on Mille Lacs. Come fall, I am usually
found sitting up in a tree patiently waiting for a
mature whitetail to come by and thinking about
the upcoming hard water season. When I am
on the ice I welcome anyone to come over and
talk, I am willing to share tips, tactics, and
patterns to anyone that asks or just wants to
talk ice fishing! I believe that Clam started the
modern ice fishing movement and are on the
leading edge making advances every season!
From jigs to shelters I believe in the Clam
products and they have helped me not only
take 2nd place in a National Championship
but also improved me as an angler. I hope to
become a member of the Clam family and
continue to help in the advancements of this
great sport that I am passionate about!
